This is a odd post for me put I wanted to let anyone interested know I am one of the finalist in the Detroit GrandSlam this year. If you would like to attend or learn more about it read on. It should be a fun night out if you can get away on a Thursday.

When Worlds Collide
The Moth and WDET are proud to present our first-ever Detroit storytelling GrandSLAM, a battle of wits and words. Fierce, hilarious, heartbreaking and all points between.

Join us as ten of the past year's Moth StorySLAM winners tell brand new stories of the clash WHEN WORLDS COLLIDE!
The Moth is dedicated to finding intriguing people to tell inspired stories. At The Moth StorySLAM, those people find us. On this night, using only words as weapons, they battle it out to determine The GrandSLAM Champion. The GrandSLAM is a competition and only one person will walk off with the coveted "crown," but more importantly, it is a showcase of Detroit denizens who've had the courage and chops to win over a room full of strangers... in five minutes or less.

The winning storyteller will be flown to New York to represent The Detroit Moth StorySLAM series at The Moth's yearly Gala, The Moth Ball, on November 16th
